July 20, 2009 - The family has noticed that the peach trees have missed Weyman Adamek, the owner, founder, and heart of Adamek Orchards who was called to Heaven last October almost as much as they have. Taking into consideration the neglect the trees have felt and the leaf disease that devasted the orchards for the past couple years resulting in the death of over 2/3 of the trees, we have decided to let the trees rest. We will continue with the blackberry patches and hope to plant a couple more acres this winter to bring our production up to about 6 acres. We hope to see ya'll in May 2010 for a great blackberry crop.

Adamek Orchards is a family owned and operated peach orchard, established in 1985. At one time, we had over 16,000 trees on 160 acres. We now have three large blackberry patches. We are located at 490 FM 966, in Yoakum, Texas. 361-293-7860.

- Adamek Orchards had one of the largest pick your own orchards in the state of Texas.
